My Two Cents on Holy Week
The liturgical calendar is used by Catholics to identify the Church year, which is a series of seasons and feasts observed in the liturgy over the course of a year. The liturgical calendar employs phrases and measurements that are comparable to those found on a regular calendar. The liturgical calendar's objective, on the other hand, is to commemorate and comprehend the mystery of Jesus Christ, as well as the expectancy of his glorious return. Every liturgical year, we commemorate Jesus Christ's full life and paschal mysteries. Liturgies held at different times of year contain diverse music, readings, prayers, ceremonies, and colors.
Many people do holy rites during Holy Week in order to fulfil a commitment they made when they requested God for a favor, such as a cure for a sickness. Purple is worn by priests and religious icons to represent sadness. Devout Catholics attend mass every day, and some even fast.
I have always thought of Lenten Season as a second chance in life. Every year, the Church allows us six weeks to reflect on our lives and evaluate if our values and priorities are in line with God's purposes for us. Because most of us stray from God's path, Lent serves as a second chance, or do-over, to "return to God with our whole heart."
